Over multiple generations, Lombardo’s Restaurant became a favorite dining and meeting spot for many St. Louisans. 1991In 1991, Carmen's three children, Michael, Anthony, and Karen, opened Lombardo's Trattoria in the Drury Inn next to Union Station. Just one year after opening the restaurant, the Lombardo's were honored to serve President George Bush, Sr. along with his family and cabinet members following the St. Louis Presidential Debate. Since then, it has become a hot spot for musicians such as Paul McCartney and Drake. Comedians like Adam Sandler, and a long list of celebrities when they travel to Saint Louis.  1993In 1993, the original restaurant at Riverview and West Florissant moved to a beautiful, new building across from Lambert Airport. 2000 Continuing the tradition of fine dining, Michael, Anthony, and Karen opened Carmine's Steak House located in the Drury Plaza Hotel near the Gateway Arch.
