About Google Web Server
Google Web Server (GWS) is the proprietary web server software that Google uses for its own services, including Google Search. It is not available as a product for other companies, and it identifies itself with the "gws" value in the Server HTTP header.
Where it is detected:
GWS is detected on websites whose pages are served directly by Google's infrastructure. This includes Google's own sites as well as websites hosted on Google platforms that respond through Google's front-end servers.
Little is publicly known about GWS itself. Google has described it as a custom server running on Linux, developed and operated internally as part of the infrastructure that serves billions of requests every day.
