Meta Mueller Will County Board
As a candidate in the 2018 election, I pledged to represent the values of our community. Will County is growing, changing, and becoming more diverse, and our leadership must reflect this. Unfortunately, the county board mirrors the dysfunction of Congress in Washington, D.C. - there's a lack of civility, professionalism, and collaboration. That's why we need qualified, proactive, and dependable individuals who are committed to finding solutions that will help our community thrive. I have worked hard to find balance and long-term solutions for our community, and I am the best candidate to continue representing you on the Will County Board.

Wilmington is my home, and the place where my heart has always lived. I want to represent those who do not feel like they have a voice in our community--those who feel like our city government has left us behind. I will work for residents, small businesses, and public interests, not for the special interests who are frequently represented in our city more than the residents. Remember, Philip Works For You!

Adam Zabner for Iowa House
As a child of immigrants, I am a product of the state of Iowa delivering on the American promise to provide opportunity to people of every race, gender, religion, and creed. This is a defining moment in our politics and state, it is a time where too many have forgotten that promise. Fifty percent of our Iowa and Iowa State graduates leave Iowa after graduating and those who stay are burdened by student loan debt. I am running to represent House District 90 because I believe that Iowa can lead on the biggest issues facing our country, but it requires empowering, retaining, and investing in our young people. We need representatives who will use their power to invest in our state’s future and move Iowa forward.

Ryan Trundle For Congress
I have been fighting for people and the environment my whole life as an activist, community organizer and volunteer, most of the time against greedy politicians and the unethical corporations that control them. I am sick and tired of seeing the American people being taken advantage of while our elected officials do nothing or worse. Since I am running in a race dominated by a corrupt political system and the special interests of the wealthy, I won't be accepting money or support from super PACs or corporations. In order to create a government that works for all of us, not just the wealthy, with fair common sense policies, I need your help. Please volunteer, donate and most importantly vote. It’s not a democracy without you.

Kyra Hoffner Senate District 14
Our world is changing yet we are still fighting for equality on every level. Our democracy is fragile... our planet is literally on fire... and all around me, I see people who are struggling and in pain. I believe I have the skills, the compassion, and the commitment to make a difference. I have already spent years of my life volunteering for various causes and I want to use that experience to fight for the residents of Senate District 14. I want to open channels of communication in local government so that Delaware citizens know their rights are protected. I want them to understand that they have a voice in the government that impacts their quality of life and future. Being transparent with the community is important to ensuring everyone’s voice has an equal part in our future. Together we can be better. Together we will be better!

Olivia Jeffers for Justice of the Peace, Denton, TX Precinct 1
I am running for Justice of the Peace, Precinct 1, Denton County. With over 20 years as a litigation consultant, I am confident that I can serve the people of Denton with common sense, integrity and fairness. The justice of the peace presides over the justice court, often referred to as People's Court, in these types of cases: * misdemeanors * small civil disputes * landlord/tenant disputes * small claims under $20,000 They also have the honor to perform marriage ceremonies, for all! “A justice of the peace is a well-informed citizen, though he is not necessarily versed in the knowledge of the laws,” “His office simply obliges him to execute the police regulations of society; a task in which good sense and integrity are of more avail than legal science.” --Alexis de Tocqueville, a French political scientist who studied the early 19th-century United States.

Elect Jason Henry Charles County School Board for District 2
As a graduate of Lackey High School and a lifelong resident of Charles County, I have witnessed dynamic changes within the Charles County Board of Education (CCBOE) that have removed local control from our teachers over what and how they can teach. The academic curriculum focus has been turned over to federal and state agencies regarding what teachers can do in their classrooms. Our teachers need the freedom to teach their students in the manner they believe is best for our students and their classroom. Rather than simply having students memorize materials to pass a test. I am committed to creating a diverse environment for positive teaching & learning for all Charles County Public School (CCPS) students. My goal is to serve as an advocate for the community, while fostering business engagement, and creating community partnerships to advance CCPS. If elected I will donate a portion of my salary to youth-based community organizations within the county. MY PLEDGE My pledge to you is, that I will always act in the best interests of the community and students, even if that means I must stand alone. As someone who lives in District 2, I will be readily available to promptly respond & address any concerns the community may have and openly consider new ideas and/or solutions to issues we may face. MY COMMITMENT *Focus on Learning, Not Testing *Improve our Special Education Department *Emphasize STEM Curriculum • Promote and support the need for increase construction funding to address overcrowding of classrooms. • Work to decrease the achievement gap for all students. • Raise the awareness of parental, community, and local business partnerships for our students and schools. • Increase funding for head start and other early learning childhood development programs. • Raise teachers' salaries comparable to other school districts in our state. • Raise support staff and service personnel salaries. • Expand CCPS apprenticeship programs so more students have the opportunity if desired to become an electrician, plumbers, carpenters, automotive mechanics, or in the field of construction. • Work toward preparing our students for their future endeavors, whether that's college, the workforce, military, trade school, or apprenticeship programs. • Support the needs of all CCPS students, teachers, and staff. • Advocate for free summer school for all students. • Advocate for more funding for free & reduced breakfast & lunch for all students. • Advocate for creating a teacher's creativity fund so teachers won't have to spend money for their paycheck on needs for their classrooms. • Advocate for CCPS to recruit, hire and retain a diverse group of teachers who reflect our student po***tion. • Advocate for the elimination of the high rate of detention, suspension, and expulsion of minority students. • Advocate for the return of the student activity bus. • Seek a partnership with to install solar energy panels on all CCBOE buildings reducing our electrical costs. GOAL FOR THE FIRST 180 DAYS • Visit each school & meet with school personnel. • Host quarterly town hall community meetings with parents, students, and the community in District 2. • Meet with CCBOE central office and support staff and request that CCBOE does business with local & state businesses first.

Let’s take back our tax dollars from the corporate banks on Wall Street and reinvest our money here at home. Together, we can change this election when we vote.
