Young Web Design and Development is temporarily closed to new business, or any business at all I suppose... Unfortunately, I have fallen victim to a rather nasty condition called Chronic Pain. The mind-bending Chronic Pain also has a running mate... a partner-in-crime, so to speak... that is the soul-crushing Severe Depression (in my case, reclassified a while back as a Major Depressive Disorder). But, as I like to say, at least the soul-crushing Depression breaks up the monotony of the constant mind-bending Pain. At this point, due to disk problems in my neck and lower back, degenerative problems, considerable neuropathy in arms, hands, legs and feet from both nerve damage as well as diabetic neuropathy, I just simply cannot sit at a computer anymore for any productive length of time. Even if my back and legs could take the seat-time, my hands have become a considerable obstacle to typing as the neuropathy causes numbness and burning pain in both hands that gets worse the more I use my hands, whether for typing, fixing a cup of coffee, or putting a dish in the dishwasher, it doesn't matter... the pain and dysfunction in both hands just increases over time. These days I work from my recliner with either my tablet or Chromebook on a lap-desk for short bursts as my pain allows. Please note that I am not alone in this... and I hope to use whatever productive time I have to increase awareness of this affliction that affects nearly 100,000,000 Americans on a daily basis. To that end, I have started a blog, Enduring Pain With Patience, the name of which is based on a quote I found online shortly after I began working on the blog: "It is easier to find men who will volunteer to die, than to find those who are willing to endure pain with patience." - Julius Caesar - I will add links and update this page as I am able and likewise update my blog to detail living with, or in spite of, Chronic Pain and Severe Depression. I hope to make first-hand information available to those
