About Directus

Directus is an open-source content management system (CMS) and headless CMS framework that allows developers to create custom back-end solutions for managing content. It provides a user-friendly interface for content editors to easily add, edit, and manage content, while offering developers the flexibility to build front-end applications using their preferred tools and technologies.

Unlike traditional CMS platforms, Directus follows a headless architecture. This means that it separates the content management capabilities from the presentation layer, allowing developers to use any front-end framework or technology to build websites, mobile apps, or other digital experiences. This decoupling enables greater flexibility and scalability in designing and delivering content across various channels.

Directus provides a RESTful API (Application Programming Interface) that allows developers to interact with the content stored in the system. This API can be used to retrieve, create, update, and delete content, as well as perform other operations such as filtering, sorting, and searching. Developers have the freedom to use the programming language and tools of their choice to interact with the Directus API.

Directus is a versatile CMS solution that empowers developers to build custom content management systems and decoupled architectures while providing a user-friendly interface for content editors. Its open-source nature allows for community contributions and customization, making it a popular choice for developers seeking flexibility and control over their content management workflows.
