Pretende crear un ámbito de reflexión y aportar información que permita conocer los diversos usos que ha experimentado el agua, así como su gestión y regulación a lo largo del tiempo. Por otra parte, desde el campo de las Humanidades, se pretende realizar un acercamiento a las narrativas del agua, los imaginarios ambientales, y al papel de los ODS en la Didáctica de la Lengua y las Ciencias Sociales. En este contexto, este Congreso Internacional se dirige hacia un amplio sector de académicos y profesionales que estudien el agua desde diversas ramas de conocimiento: Antropología, Arte, Comunicación, Derecho, Didáctica, Ecología, Educación, Economía, Empresa, Geografía, Historia, Lengua y Literatura, Patrimonio, Sociología... Por tanto, se hace una llamada a investigadoras e investigadores a coordinar sesiones y presentar comunicaciones. Se enumeran algunas posibles temáticas que pueden abordar las diversas sesiones del Congreso en consonancia con el Informe Mundial sobre el Desarrollo de los Recursos Hídricos (2021) emitido por la UNESCO (https://www.unesco.org/reports/wwdr/2021/es). La colaboración entre la Universidad de Évora-CIDEHUS, la Red Internacional de Universidades Lectoras (RIUL), así como las revistas ÁLABE y AGUA y TERRITORIO, ha desarrollado desde sus inicios líneas de trabajo transversales e interdisciplinares en torno a la lectura, el patrimonio y el desarrollo sostenible. Dada la importancia de la agenda 2030 y los ODS, se plantea este congreso como un encuentro académico que permita abordar lecturas y recorridos multidisciplinares desde el ámbito universitario, con miras siempre al avance social. Por otra parte, el Congreso pretende que la ciudad y la provincia de Jaén se conviertan en un punto de encuentro internacional, que posibilite su conocimiento en ámbitos académicos y turísticos, hasta ahora desconocidos. El objetivo es convertir Jaén en un lugar de referencia en la esfera del AGUA Y EL MEDIO AMBIENTE. Los recursos, parques y espacios naturales que posee la provincia, la convierten en territorio de observación para el estudio de estas temáticas que entran de lleno en los OBJETIVOS DE DESARROLLO SOSTENIBLE. Objetivos del Congreso Desarrollar el interés por la defensa del Medio Ambiente, la Naturaleza y conocimientos sobre los problemas relacionados con la Nueva Cultura del Agua y el Cambio Climático. Fomentar y desarrollar entre los participantes la Nueva Cultura del Agua. Aprovechar experiencias concretas de académicos e investigadores expertos en la materia para desarrollar las diversas sesiones. Mejorar la comprensión de los conceptos económicos y empresariales vinculados con la Naturaleza, Medio Ambiente y la Nueva Cultura del Agua. Aplicación de la problemática ambiental al ámbito laboral, profesional, empresarial, etc. Promover el intercambio de ideas, conocimientos e intereses entre académicos de distintas universidades. Promover la participación de académicos de universidades de Hispanoamérica, África y Oriente Medio. Fomentar la relación de los profesores/as de la Universidad de Jaén con profesoras/es de otros ámbitos académicos. Fomentar la participación de estudiantes de la UJA. Aplicar métodos concretos para impulsar la calidad académica de las revistas científicas y publicaciones de los participantes. Crear sinergias para el Acceso Abierto entre Universidades y Pymes Tecnológicas. Actividades a desarrollar Promover 35 sesiones paralelas sobre los temas del Congreso. Fomentar la participación de unas 200 personas procedentes de universidades de América, África y Oriente Medio. Conferencias impartidas por profesoras y profesores especialistas en las materias indicadas. Mesa redonda con la participación de profesoras y profesores de Universidades de América Latina (México y Argentina), miembros del Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científica, Confederación Hidrográfica del Guadalquivir, asociaciones de regantes, etc. Estas actividades tienen como objetivo común: Aspectos prácticos del Desarrollo Sostenible Conjugar avances económicos con el Desarrollo Sostenible y la Nueva Cultura del Agua. Ecología y Empresa Gestión y difusión de la investigación académica. Temas del Congreso Gestión y usos del agua en perspectiva histórica: abastecimiento de agua a las ciudades.
