Le 15 avril dernier un incendie touchait la cathédrale Notre-Dame de Paris déclenchant un acte de générosité sans précédent des français et des amoureux du patrimoine.
Face à ce drame, vous étiez plus de 220 000 donateurs à être venus en aide à Notre-Dame et à lui témoigner votre attachement. Pour cela, nous ne vous en remercierons jamais assez.
Cet incident a malheureusement révélé la fragilité mais aussi le manque d’entretien de notre patrimoine.
C’est pour cette cause que la Fondation du patrimoine s’engage depuis 20 ans aux côtés des propriétaires, des mairies et des associations afin de protéger les nombreux bâtiments qui s'effondrent, les ponts qui sont interdits au public, les théâtres, les musées municipaux et les églises qui souffrent.
Nos actions peuvent aller du petit lavoir qui est en train de disparaître, des monuments aux morts, des locomotives d'un intérêt patrimonial, aux phares qui sont en train de tomber dans la mer.
Ce sont ces petits et grands monuments qui font partie de nos paysages, de notre histoire et de l’identité culturelle de notre pays que nous protégeons chaque jour.
Nous lançons pour cela une nouvelle campagne, « Plus jamais ça », afin de faire grandir l’élan de solidarité qu’a permis Notre-Dame. Nous estimons à plus de deux milliards d’euros de besoin d’investissements dans le patrimoine français dit en péril.
Cette collecte alimentera un fonds d’urgence visant la mise en sécurité des sites de notre patrimoine les plus menacés.
Ces sites en danger immédiat seront sélectionnés parmi les 2800 projets soutenus actuellement par la Fondation du patrimoine, et les 3000 qui lui ont été signalés au travers de la Mission Bern. Le nombre de sites retenus dépendra du montant des fonds recueillis.
Plus jamais ça à Dinan !
Après l'effondrement des remparts de Dinan en 2015, l'incendie d'un immeuble rue de la Mittrie en mai 2017 et aujourd'hui l'incendie de l'immeuble de la Mère Pourcel dans la nuit du 23 au 24 juin 2019, la Ville de Dinan souhaite s’inscrire dans la campagne portée par la Fondation du patrimoine « Plus Jamais ça » ! afin de sécuriser le patrimoine de la Ville.

Dans la nuit du jeudi 11 au vendredi 12 juillet, un *** incendie ravageait une grande partie du Haras national de Saint-Lô.
La Fondation du patrimoine de Normandie tient à manifester sa solidarité avec tous les acteurs qui gèrent et s’occupent de ce site emblématique du département de la Manche.

Vendredi 21 juin 2019, à 3h09, l'horloge de l'emblématique ancienne collégiale Saint-Thomas s'est brutalement arrêtée. Suite à la rupture du pilier Sud de la nef, l'élévation de la première travée et certaines parties adjacentes ont cédé. D'autres éléments du bâti sont fragilisés. Les grilles de périmètre du monument n'ont pas suffi à retenir les chutes de pierres taillées et la maçonnerie.

La sauvegarde du patrimoine national est au cœur des missions de la Fondation du patrimoine, qui chaque année organise près de 3000 collectes de dons et de mécénats en faveur de projets de restauration. Contrôlée par la Cour des comptes, elle a un devoir d’information et de vigilance vis-à-vis de l'ensemble des donateurs dont elle recueille les dons. La qualité des travaux et la maitrise du coût des travaux sont également au centre de ses préoccupations.
