Description:心理療法とは、心の働きが円滑に行かなくなり病的あるいは社会不適応の状態に陥った人に対して、広い意味での心理学的知識と技術を用いて行う体系的な専門的援助活動のことです。 例えば、あるクライエント（相談者）が不眠を訴えてきたとします。 このクライエントに対しては、さまざまな対処の仕方が考えられます。 まず、医師であれば睡眠薬を処方することが考えられますが、 単純に薬を用いることは心理療法ではありません。 また、「気にしなければ眠れますよ」と助言したり 「横になるだけでも休息になるから大丈夫ですよ」と 安心させ、支持する方法もあります。 このような助言や支持は、心理臨床で用いられる技法ではありますが、これだけで効果があるとすればよほど間題の軽い場合でしょう。 心理臨床では、まずクライエントの話に耳を傾けていきます。 カウンセラーは、クライエントが問題を 自分で掘り下げ、自らの力で解決方法を見出していくために、 1 回1時間あるいは50分、週に1、2度と決めて 話し合いを続けていきます。 不眠という症状の消失を目的に来談したクラィエントは、このようなカウンセラーの態度に支えられて、 自分の症状の背景にある価値観やものの見方、生き方などについて考え、見直していきます。 そして、クライエントが自分の価値観を改変することによりその症状が軽減、消失していきます。 このように心理療法による問題解決の根本は、クライエントの自己治癒力、あるいは自己実現の傾向にあります。つまり、クライエントの自己治癒力、自己実現の傾向を活性化するための技法が心理療法なのです。 心理療法の目的 心理療法の目的は 「症状の消失」と「その症状の発生しやすい人格の変容」と言えます。 上記の例では、クライエントが症状の発生しやすい人格の変容に取り組むことにより症状が消失しましたが、 症状の消失だけに目的を絞った心理療法もあります。 しかし、その場合でも、症状はその人の人格と 密接に関連するものですから、力ウンセラー としては クライエントの存在をできる限り全体的にとらえる ことが望まれます。 つまり、クライエントの症状だけではなく、 その症状とクライエントの人格、更にはクライエントを 取り巻く環境との関連を常に考慮し、クライ工ントが 自分の力で解決へと努力していくのを援助する活動が 心理療法なのです。 心理療法の歴史的背景や、心理療法の種類について 詳しくはこちら↓ ブロトピ：更新報告ですよダンナ！（もしくはお嬢さんw） ブロトピ：今日のブログ更新 ブロトピ：更新しました！ ブロトピ：今日のブログ更新 ブロトピ：ブログ更新通知 ブロトピ：Twitterで拡散し合う部
