Sensory Processing Disorder Parent Support Welcome To Our Website The purpose of this website is to share with others what I have learned in 18 years of working with my two children who have special needs and have been diagnosed with multiple diagnosis that include Sensory Processing Disorder. This is a place to listen to others as they ask questions, post stories or chat. I've designed this website for Parents, Caregivers, Therapists, Teachers, Professionals, Community Providers and all others who work with children and youth with special needs and Sensory Processing Disorder. Children who have disabilities like Sensory Processing Disorder they requires specialized services, love and a good support team to be successful in home, school and in the community too. I welcome and encourage everyone to enjoy this website and contents, by working together as a team providing consistency in a child’s life, and effectively communicating with each other, we hope to make a real and lasting impact on the life and learning of a child with a disability like Sensory Processing Disorder. 2004-- 1 in 20 children’s daily lives is affected by SPD 2009-- suggests that 1 in 6 children experiences sensory challenges sufficient to disrupt their academic, social, and/or emotional development The information on this site is for information purposes only.
