It provides efficient integration of NCLB and IDEA to reduce overidentification and disproportionality for learning disabilities and other IDEA designations. STEEP includes essment, intervention, and progress monitoring components. The instructional components include both reading intervention and math intervention. For schools using DIBELS, the STEEP RTI intervention and progress monitoring components can be used to link DIBELS to specific interventions.
