The Stow kids were completely in shock last Thursday afternoon when I picked them up early from school for "dentist appointments." "Why is Daddy in the car?" "Why are there bags in the back?" After a full day of skiing at Wachusett on Monday, followed by two consecutive snow days for a blizzard, getting picked up early from school on a Thursday afternoon by mom was the furthest thing from their little minds. But since Friday was already a day off due to a professional day for teachers, it was the perfect time to plan a two-night getaway to the Great Wolf Lodge New England. The big kids quickly figured out where we were headed, given the "my mom's a mom blogger" circumstances. And having stayed at the Great Wolf Lodge previously, I think they were secretly wishing all along that that's where we were headed. "Fitchburg?! We're going to the Great Wolf Lodge!!" Lucky them.
