It plays a critical role in the development of economy particularly in those economies which are undergoing transition from traditional subsistence to a modern industrial economy. ESAF started MED programmes in 1995. It initiates effective grass root level development which aims at economic self-reliance among the poor. MED provides a broad package of financial and business development services to the society and economically challenged men and women.
