Allan J. McIntyre Fine Art - American Art on Paper
Allan J. McIntyre Fine Art specializes in works of art on paper created before 1950. Art, primarily graphic art that interprets the American Southwest in all of its facets (ethnic, cultural, social, and natural) is of primary importance. Through the collection, preservation, and sale of early graphic art, we hope to educate and awaken a larger au nce to the regions important history, artists, and art. Special consideration is given to learning about and acquiring information on artists who resided in the State of Arizona, but due to geographic location and the inability to properly market their art, have been eclipsed by others. Within the large, and defined scope of Arizona, we are particularly interested in those early artists who worked in Southern Arizona (primarily in the Tucson area), and the Sonoran Desert. Graphic artist, printer printmakers, such as Gerry Peirce, Marylka Modjeska, Alfred Rudolph, and Leon Rene Pescheret are only four of a much larger and important group of artists who worked in this desert landscape. We have just written The Tohono O'odham and Pimeria Alta; produced by Arcadia Publishing. Please give it a look.
