I started in the health club business in 1973 in Montreal. In 1975 I moved to Toronto, and went to work for Vic Tanny's Health Clubs. In 1979 that company was bought out by SuperFitness Centers. I continued to work for them, and grew as they grew. By the 1980's they were the largest health club organization in Toronto and all of Canada. As well as working every day in the clubs, I became the company's spokesperson, appearing in the print ads, radio and TV commercials and billboards and flyers.
