JUBILEE COLLEGE, BHURKUNDA, Dist-Ramgarh in the Jharkhand state was established in 1981 as an affiliated college of the then Ranchi University. As a part of the Silver Jubilee Celebrations of the then National Coal Development Corporation, the college was established to spread the Silver Light of knowledge and education in the rural & forest areas holding ‘black diamond’ mining activities. The then Governor of Bihar and Chancellor of Universities, His Excellency Dr. A.R. Kidwai laid the foundation stone on 24th of December, 1981. Since then it has grown from strength to strength and to-day it is a permanently affiliated multifaculty Degree College of Vinoba Bhave University, Hazaribag, imparting Hons level courses in Science, Arts and Commerce. Both the State Govt. of Jharkhand the University Grant Commission New Delhi/ Kolkata, give generous grants to carry on the academic and infrastructural progress.
