Die wetterfesten Taschen sind aus recyceltem Material und groß und stabil genug für gleich mehrere Bücher, Spiele und andere Medien aus dem Angebot der Bibliothek. Sie haben ebenfalls einen Barcode wie die regulären Medien und können genauso entliehen werden. Kostenfrei. Die neuen Leihtaschen sind ein Gemeinschaftsprojekt der Stadtbibliothek Rietberg und der Klimaschützen Rietberg. Klimaschutzmanagerin Svenja Schröder ist begeistert, denn die Taschen können immer wieder und wieder verwendet werden – ein schönes Beispiel für nachhaltige Nutzung von Dingen des täglichen Lebens. Dass sie ressourcenschonend produziert wurden, kommt noch hinzu. Und das Team der Stadtbibliothek ist froh, ihren Kundinnen und Kunden eine Möglichkeit zu bieten, die entliehenen Medien sicher und trocken transportieren zu können. „Denn manchmal haben die Besucherinnen und Besucher zwar einen Rucksack oder Einkaufskorb dabei. In manchen Fällen aber auch nicht“, sagt Jennifer Bader von der Stadtbibliothek. Weil sie entsprechend farbig bedruckt sind, sind die Leihtaschen zudem ein schöner Werbeträger für die Klimaschützen wie für die Stadtbibliothek.
