Die glücklichen Gesichter über dieses derzeit rare Gemeinschaftserlebnis waren trotz der Gesichtsmasken deutlich zu erkennen. „Wir sind begeistert wie vorbildlich alle Besucher und Teilnehmer die Hygieneregeln eingehalten haben und so dieses Turnier ermöglicht haben.", schwärmt der sichtlich erschöpfte Turnierleiter Felix Fliegerbauer am Sonntagabend. Drei Monate haben die Handballer für die Vorbereitung des Turniers unter diesen besonderen Bedingungen gebraucht. Maßgeblich war dabei das strenge Hygienekonzept, welches mit großartiger Unterstützung des Landratsamtes Roth und der Marktgemeinde erarbeitet wurde, erläutert Daniel Buchard, der den Mut hatte, diese Veranstaltung umzusetzen. Er führt aus „Wir haben mit einem professionellen Online-Ticketsystem über 1.200 Besucher registriert, ein Wegeführungskonzept entwickelt und natürlich auch besondere Anforderungen für die Gastronomie umgesetzt." So bot sich dem erfahrenen Handballtage Besucher in diesem Jahr ein anderes, aber kein schlechtes Bild. Auf vier Feldern lief der Spielbetrieb parallel und zwischen den Spielfeldern boten 90 Biertischgarnituren ausreichend Platz für die angemeldeten Zuschauer. So konnte man entspannt vom festgebuchten Sitzplatz die Handballspiele verfolgen und über das neue digitale Ergebnisportal die Spielergebnisse jederzeit direkt über das Handy abrufen. Ebenfalls neu in diesem Jahr waren die Teamzonen auf der umlaufenen Tartanbahn, welche den Mannschaften einen Rückzugsort boten. „In diesem Jahr wurde deutlich mehr Material als bei allen Vorveranstaltungen eingesetzt.
